In 1980, Graham Thorne set out to build a painting company on two simple principles: quality and reliability. That vision became the foundation Thorn Group still stands on today. Over 45 years later, Graham remains an active and integral part of the company’s continued success, with that same founding commitment carried forward by the team he built.

Dylan Thorne
Dylan is Thorne Group’s sales director and Graham Thorne’s eldest son, bringing 13 years of experience and a deep understanding of both the property and construction industries. With a BSc in Property, he combines strong industry knowledge with a strategic, client-focused approach to every deal he leads.

De waal is a key member of the Thorn team, overseeing site operations across Johannesburg. Having joined the company since 2021, De waal brings a hands on approach to managing projects and ensuring that work on site is completed efficiently, professionally and to the highest standards.
